The Bear-y Sweet Shoppe opened in January of 2015 by four Sophomores who challenged the space for student-run businesses at WashU. As the first food business ever opened on campus, the Bear-y Sweet Shoppe has given its owners the opportunity to push boundaries and try things that have never been done by students at WashU before. As part of the Student Entrepreneurship Program, the Bear-y Sweet Shoppe owners sell their shares of the company to underclassmen, so the business will always be owned and operated by students, for students! Working on a team that is constantly changing gives us the chance to bring in fresh perspectives, new ideas, (and more and more candy) every year - and we love every minute of it!
